LIFT UP YOUR EYES

1. The encounter of the Samaritan woman with JESUS at Jacob's well stands out; for His answer to her comment concerning CHRIST the MESSIAH, "The woman saith unto him, I know that MESSIAS COMETH, which is CALLED CHRIST: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I THAT SPEAK UNTO THEE AM HE" [John 4:25-26] This is significant, coming before Peter's testimony in Matthew 16:16 and to a Samaritan, emphasising CHRIST'S mandate; to SAVE the "LOST" and REVIVE famished souls. When His disciples returned, they were astonished to see Him speak with a Samaritan woman; Jews count Samaritans unfit for God’s purpose [John 4:9, 27]  JESUS did not hide His disappointed with their attitude and more so dissatisfied with our denominational barriers; every man "JUSTIFYING" himself according to his Creed [1Corinthians 3:4,6] The Lord is asking you and I to"LIFT UP OUR EYES" beyond parochial lines. What He said some 2,000 years ago, He is saying to His CHURCH,  "LIFT UP YOUR EYES", the harvest is ready, "Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, LIFT UP YOUR EYES, and look on the fields; for they are WHITE ALREADY TO HARVEST" [John 4:35-38,40]

2. LIFT UP YOUR EYES is timely counsel for us to SEE unfolding global events through EYES of God. Where His disciples saw a miserable Samaritan woman, JESUS saw realities of a massive harvest among the LOST SHEEP" of Jacob; for so the woman testfified, "Art thou greater than OUR FATHER JACOB, WHICH GAVE US THE WELL, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?" [John 4:12] We do not need to strain our eyes to see how present instabilities and distress across nations have fashioned our passion for lost souls to carnal survival instincts. This need not be, if we choose to LOOK UP, we would see on-going persecution and hardships as prophetic signpost of HOPE, "And when these things begin to come to pass, then LOOK UP and LIFT UP YOUR HEADS; for your redemption draweth nigh" [Luke 21:28] Where we see afflictions and hopelessness, JESUS is pointing our attention to a CHURCH begging for REVIVAL and a world primed for harvest. Whereas current disequilibrium will not abate, exposing futility of human wisdom, JESUS shall yet be preached in all nations, "All these are the BEGINNING OF SORROWS. ... But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this GOSPEL of the KINGDOM shall be PREACHED IN ALL THE WORLD for a WITNESS unto all nations; and then shall the END COME" [Matthew 24:8, 13-14]

3. Technically, JESUS is preached in all nations via internet but the END is not yet, till the WITNESS of the knowledge of His GLORY shall fill the earth with POWER of the HOLY GHOST,  "For the earth shall be FILLED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE GLORY OF THE LORD, as the waters cover the sea" [Habakkuk 2:14] Faithful WITNESSES, through the ages, went in the POWER of PENTECOST sowing the SEED of ETERNAL LIFE and we "ENTERED INTO THEIR LABOURS", "And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: OTHER MEN LABOURED, and YE ARE ENTERED INTO THEIR LABOURS" [John 4:37-38] LIFT UP YOUR EYES, says the Lord. It is time to AWAKE from centuries of denominational shadow boxing, return to the FOUNDATION of the APOSTLES and FINISH the WORK. Our bigoted interests and intolerance of one another alienate us from the ONE who gave His LIFE for us. Notwithstanding, God is at work raising a MIGHTY ARMY in our day to do His WILL. GOD'S END-TIME ARMY are as the "DRY BONES" in Ezekiel 37:1-10, REVIVED and MUSTERED by final push of the HOLY GHOST, "They shall run like MIGHTY MEN, they shall climb the wall like MEN OF WAR; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they SHALL NOT BREAK THEIR RANKS" [Joel 2:7] 

4. LIFT UP YOUR EYES, it is the "ELEVENTH HOUR", "And about the ELEVENTH HOUR he went out, and found others standing idle, ... He saith unto them, GO YE ALSO INTO THE VINEYARD; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive" [Matthew 20:6-8] This is your invitation to enlist in GOD'S END-TIME ARMY, the whole earth is His VINEYARD and every inch of it shall be reached with the GOSPEL of SALVATION preached in the NAME of JESUS CHRIST, "And it shall come to pass, that in the place WHERE IT WAS SAID unto them, YE ARE NOT MY PEOPLE; there SHALL THEY BE CALLED the CHILDREN OF THE LIVING GOD" [Romans 9:26] The SEED was sown, the BLADE sprung up, then the EAR and now, the GREAT REVIVAL that brings forth the "FULL CORN in the EAR", "For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the BLADE, then the EAR, after that the FULL CORN IN THE EAR. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the HARVEST IS COME" [Mark 4:28-29] The Lord of HARVEST is still calling "ELEVENTH HOUR LABOURERS" into His vineyard. He is on His way, this REVIVAL is the "SHORT WORK" before His appearance, "For he will FINISH THE WORK, and cut it short in righteousness: because A SHORT WORK WILL THE LORD MAKE UPON THE EARTH" [Mark 4:28-29]
