1. HOW DO YOU SEE? With your EYES? Well, not exactly. HOW YOU SEE is determined by the LIGHT or DARKNESS in you, as it is written: “The LIGHT OF THE BODY IS THE EYE: if therefore thine EYE BE SINGLE, thy whole body shall be FULL OF LIGHT” [Matthew 6:22] The LIGHT in man is a function of his relationship to Jesus Christ, the LIGHT of the world, “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD: HE THAT FOLLOWETH ME SHALT NOT WALK IN DARKNESS, but shall have the light of life” [John 8:12] If any man has not Christ, his EYES are enveloped in DARKNESS, his MIND is oppressed by SIN and his EYES blurred by the prism of EVIL “But if thine EYE BE EVIL, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the LIGHT IN THEE BE DARKNESS, HOW GREAT IS THAT DARKNESS!” [Matthew 6:23]
2. HOW YOU SEE is the choice you make to walk in DARKNESS or abide in the LIGHT of Christ, as it is written: “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever BELIEVETH ON ME SHOULD NOT ABIDE IN DARKNESS” [John 12:46] I once abode in DARKNESS, my MIND condemned to fleshly LUST, “And this is the CONDEMNATION, that LIGHT IS COME into the world, and MEN LOVED DARKNESS rather than light, because THEIR DEEDS WERE EVIL” [John 3:19] My eyes were wide open, as in Genesis 3:6-7, but I was IGNORANT; all I saw were the cravings of my FLESH, “Having the UNDERSTANDING DARKENED, being alienated from the life of God through the IGNORANCE that is in them, because of the BLINDNESS OF THEIR HEART” [Ephesians 4:18] I was the center of my own universe, everything revolved around my insatiable thirst for thrills. I could not be bothered as long as my FLESH was saturated with pleasure. Friend, If Christ be not in you, you are in DARKNESS; your EYES are wide open, but what you SEE are refractions of DARKNESS, and though you say “… I am rich, and increased with goods, and HAVE NEED OF NOTHING; and knowest not that THOU ART WRETCHED, and MISERABLE, and POOR, and BLIND, and NAKED” [Revelation 3:17]Friend, without Jesus Christ, you are trapped in DARKNESS, as I was, but in Him is LIGHT and LIBERTY, “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the SPIRIT OF THE LORD is, THERE IS LIBERTY” [2 Corinthians 3:16-17]
3. If any man is in Christ, Satan is well aware of your IDENTITY, “… which is CHRIST IN YOU, the HOPE OF GLORY” [Colossians 1:27] His warfare is against your MIND, the HEART of your personality, “KEEP THY HEART with all diligence; for out of it are the ISSUES OF LIFE” [Proverbs 4:23] Your MIND is the battlefield of LIGHT and DARKNESS, and Satan has vowed, as it is written: “And Satan answered the LORD, and said, SKIN FOR SKIN, yea, ALL THAT A MAN HATH WILL HE GIVE IN EXCHANGE FOR HIS LIFE” [Job 2:4] Satan is determined to control HOW YOU SEE, through oppression, using the things of this world. HOW YOU SEE yourself and the world around you are crucial to your eternal relevance. Brethren, we are PILGRIMS in this world, “… I beseech you as STRANGERS and PILGRIMS, abstain from FLESHLY LUSTS, which war against the soul” [1 Peter 2:11] As PILGRIM, you have no business with needless debates and strife concerning AFFAIRS OF THIS WORLD as to be entangled in fleshly LUSTS “No man that warreth ENTANGLETH himself with the AFFAIRS OF THIS LIFE; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier“ [2 Timothy 2:4] Remember, you are a WINNER in Christ, not a VICTIM and your strength in present afflictions is in godly PATIENCE, “LOOKING UNTO JESUS the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” [Hebrews 12:2]
4. The final struggle for your MIND is set in unfolding drama of global MISINFORMATION and DISINFORMATION,, “For there shall arise FALSE CHRISTS, and FALSE PROPHETS, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, IF IT WERE POSSIBBLE, they shall DECEIVE the very ELECT” [Matthew 24:24] The strategy is CONFUSION, carefully orchestrated through needless controversies to engender negative sentiments and DISTRACT you from the perfect LAW OF LIBERTY but “… whoso LOOKETH into the PERFECT LAW OF LIBERTY, and CONTINUETH THEREIN, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a DOER OF THE WORK, this man shall be BLESSED IN HIS DEED” [James 1:25] Now, more than ever before is time to LOOK and SEE through the perfect LAW of LIBERTY, which is the LIGHT of TRUTH and you will neither be DISTRACTED nor DECEIVED, but “… with open face BEHOLDING as in a glass the GLORY OF THE LORD, are CHANGED INTO THE SAME IMAGE from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” [2 Corinthians 3:18] If we SEE through the LIGHT of His GLORY, we shall not be DISTRACTED by COVID-19, 5G, Obamacare, climate change and sundry distortions from crystal balls of demonic DISINFORMATION. Beloved, how I wish you SEE beyond present distress and be focused on the glory that awaits us at the appearance of the Lord, and “… it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, WHEN HE SHALL APPEAR, WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM; for WE SHALL SEE HIM AS HE IS” [1 John 3:2]
