GOD IS NOT A RESPECTER OF PERSONS

1. GOD IS NOT A RESPECTER OF PERSONS and shall through Jesus Christ, “… judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom” [1 Timothy 4:1] It is needful at this point to settle the identity of Jesus Christ and the nature of His JUDGMENT. The Bible says: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD” [John 1:1-14] The WORD is God and Jesus Christ is the WORD made FLESH, the “BRIGHTNESS” of God’s “GLORY” and “… the EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON, …” [Hebrews 1:3] His JUDGMENT applies to all men, LIVING and DEAD, irrespective of status or race and “… JUDGMENT MUST BEGIN AT THE HOUSE OF GOD: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?“ [1 Peter 4:17] Preachers shall be first to be JUDGED, and then the flocks; by what we KNOW and DO of the WORD. MINISTERS of the gospel shall receive greater condemnation than their flocks, if we deny or fail to DO according to the WORD and it is written: “My brethren, BE NOT MANY MASTERS, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation” [James 3:1] I caution every MINISTER of the WORD to beware of the applause of men and the excesses of material riches, which lull men to self-justification, but “… God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God” [Luke 16:15]

2. GOD IS NOT A RESPECTER OF PERSONS and indeed magnified His WORD above His name [Psalms 138:2] Let us handle the WORD with prudence, convinced that the “… WORD of God is QUICK, and POWERFUL” [Hebrews 4:12] The WORD is “QUICK”, that is, FOREVER ALIVE and in us, LIVES to build us up in the likeness of Jesus Christ. Let us not be hypocrites, preaching righteousness and abiding in secret sins. Whereas the WORD is ALIVE to promote and build up FAITHFUL STEWARDS, the same is POWERFUL beyond measure to pull down and destroy UNFAITHFUL STEWARDS. The Bible says: “… there came a man of God out of Judah BY THE WORD OF THE LORD unto Bethel: …” [1 Kings 13:1] This man of God was promoted by the WORD to MINISTER with so much POWER, the King’s hand dried up and the “ALTAR ALSO WAS RENT” [1 Kings 13:4-5] Regrettably, having been FAITHFUL in “KNOWING” and “SPEAKING” the WORD, he was UNFAITHFUL at the end of his assignment and being “… DISOBEDIENT UNTO THE WORD OF GOD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him …” [1 Kings 13:26] The same WORD that brought him fame and power brought him down to the grave in shame, therefore, “… Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity” [2 Timothy 2:9]

3. GOD IS NOT A RESPECTER OF PERSONS and He does not judge by what may be seen, “… for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the OUTWARD APPEARANCE, but THE LORD LOOKETH ON THE HEART” [1 Samuel 16:7] Samuel went to the house of Jesse by the WORD to anoint a King for Israel. Each time one of the seven sons of Jesse went by, he thought he had the right man [1 Samuel 16:6-10] Prophet Samuel was deceived by OUTWARD APPEARANCE and so are many of us today, by huge Cathedrals and large congregations. God is not deceived and His WORD is the ALL-SEEING EYE, “… SHARPER THAN ANY TWOEDGED SWORD, piercing even to the DIVIDING ASUNDER OF SOUL AND SPIRIT, and of the joints and marrow” [Hebrews 4:12] The WORD sees beyond OUTWARD APPEARANCE and every action or inaction is JUDGED per MOTIVATION or INSPIRATION. MOTIVATION arises from FLESHLY passions and drives selfish ambition. INSPIRATION is the HOLY SPIRIT leading us to do the WILL of God. INSPIRATION is selfless and thrives in the WORD, MOTIVATION is carnal. The multiple ecclesiastical titles and hoard of material riches gathered by MOTIVATION has no influence on God, He is not a RESPECTER of persons. When the Lord shall appear, He shall say to every soul driven by MOTIVATION, “… I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” [Matthew 7:22-23]

4. GOD IS NOT A RESPECTER OF PERSONS and will JUDGE those who handle His WORD deceitfully, as it is written: “CURSED BE HE THAT DOETH THE WORK OF GOD DECEITFULLY, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood” [Jeremiah 48:10] If any Preacher bends the WORD to please men, he “KEEPETH BACK HIS SWORD FROM BLOOD” and shall bear his guilt. When we stand to MINISTER the gospel of Jesus Christ, let us do so, knowing fully well the WORD “… is a DISCERBER OF THE THOUGHTS AND INTENTS OF THE HEART” [Hebrews 4:12] God knows the THOUGHTS and INTENTS of every heart, therefore, let us renounce all “… hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor HANDLING THE WORD OF GOD DECEITFULLY; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God” [2 Corinthians 4:2] Every MINISTER is a STEWARD ordained to FEED the LAMBS of Christ with the WORD, which is the BREAD OF LIFE, not to MANIPULATE the WORD with INTENT to FLEECE the SHEEP. Let us work with clear conscience, well aware that the coming of the Lord is at hand, but if any STEWARD says, “… My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers” [Luke 12:45-46]

5. I call you to remembrance, “… GOD IS NOT A RESPECTER OF PERSONS: But in every nation HE THAT FEARETH HIM, and WORKETH RIGHTEOUSNESS, is ACCEPTED OF HIM” [Acts 10:34-35] As we all look forward to the appearing of the Lord, “I commend you to God, and to the WORD OF HIS GRACE, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified” [Acts 20:32]
